This training program directly relates to Counseling Techniques/Methods of Intervention & Prevention/Processing/SW Methods by offering the clinician an introduction into two different techniques of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning (EAP/L) and how each is used to treat different mental & emotional disorders.  The clinician is provided this information in lecture, experiential and discussion format.  The clinician will also learn how to process an EAP/L session with clients through lecture, experiential and discussion format.

The goals of this training program are:

·       Each attendee will have a basic understanding of the metaphor-based & relationship-based models of EAP/L

·       Each attendee will learn how to determine which model to use based on the treatment goals of their clients.

·       Each will gain an understanding on how to conduct and process both EAP/L models with their clients while partnering with a certified team member from Hope Meadows Foundation.
